Marabu® ClearShield® Canvas Guard does what no laminating films can do: protect canvas prints. This laminating liquid is specially designed for printed canvas material and other Giclee applications. It remains highly flexible after it dries. You can stretch coated canvas and the Canvas Guard won't crack. One issue that often crops up with canvas: pinholes form in the liquid coating. Canvas Guard is formulated to reduce this effect.

Since Canvas Guard is water-based, be aware of material and ink properties. Do not use this with water-sensitive canvas or paper. Additionally, don't combine with water-sensitive inks. For water-sensitive films and inks, use ClearJet® instead.

For application, use a high-density foam roller or a 3/16" short-nap roller. Saturate the roller to just before the dripping point. Apply 2 thin coats, waiting for the first coat to dry to the touch (usually 30 minutes to an hour).
