New for 2023! Replaces the MBX 3200 Electric. Please note that the vinyl eraser wheels are sold separately.
The Montipower SE-2141 MBX® Variomatic Electric Vinyl Zapper® is the best vinyl remover system in the industry. New features include variable rpm, squeeze grip trigger, dead man switch, and a threaded two-position perpendicular handle. It "erases" vinyl pin striping, vehicle graphics, most adhesive residues, and reflective decals. Any remaining adhesive can be removed with adhesive remover fluids. Best of all, the process doesn't damage OEM paint surfaces. When operated properly, there is no smearing or heat damage on substrates like metal, glass, fibreglass, or hardwood. The Vinyl Zapper® removes 35 to 50 square feet of vinyl per hour, reducing labour by 60%.
MBX® Variomatic Electric Vinyl Zapper® has two advantages over a generic angle grinder. The rpm is optimized for removing vinyl, being slower than a grinder. Higher rotational speed creates extra heat, which can bake - rather than remove - adhesive. Also, the vinyl eraser wheel is aligned with the handles and spins on the same axis. The torque and rotational inertia are easily controlled. This eliminates the twisting torque of an angle grinder and prevents the tool from jumping out of your hands. The combination of less jumping and lower vibration reduces operator fatigue considerably.
This is the electrically driven tool. A pneumatic version is also available. Call or email for pricing and availability of the air drive unit.
