Orajet® 3850 Translucent Cal is an adhesive PVC film for internally illuminated signs. Use it indoors or out. It has up to 7 year outdoor durability. This product is designed for backlit signage such as storefront signs, overhead restaurant menus, shopping mall signs, and infographics. It adheres to rigid and flexible substrates. It's compatible with solvent, eco-solvent, UV-curable, and latex inks.

Translucent vinyl can be tricky when it comes to diffusion. Orajet® 3850 is specially formulated to uniformly diffuse light. Not bright spots or dark blotches. Enjoy premium quality.

Printing graphics for internally illuminated signs can be tricky when it comes to colour saturation. with standard ink saturation on translucent vinyl, the printed colours will look great during the day, when the illumination is from the front of the sign. However, at night, when the printed graphic is lit from behind, the colours will look washed out and pale. To fix this, printed graphics for internally illuminated signs are usually composed of two layers of vinyl and two layers of ink. First, print the graphic onto translucent vinyl, just like normal. Second, print an identical graphic onto a layer of transparent vinyl. "Laminate" the layers, with the translucent vinyl on top of the transparent vinyl. Voila! The colours will look great during the day. At night, the additional layer of ink on the transparent layer will make the printed colours deeper and more saturated as light shines through them from behind.
