The RollePro is designed for applying vinyl graphics over rivets and contours. This conformable roller substantially increases both the speed and ease vinyl applications. Although designed for riveted surfaces, RollePro also works on diamond plate steel, louvered vents, corrugations, and ridges. Using 3M licensed technology, this tool's main feature is its dense, conformable foam roller wheel.
2 Methods for Rivet Applications
Open Channel Method (for closely spaced rivets)
Leave an open, un-squeegeed air channel over the row of rivets (Make sure the channel doesn't collapse, touch the substrate, and trap air. If this happens, you'll have to poke holes in the vinyl.)
Use a heat gun, preferably a torch, to heat the loose vinyl to about 100°C
Run the RollePro along the vinyl channel in one smooth motion
Flat-Rivets-Flat Method (for best air flow)
Apply the vinyl up to a row of rivets. Leave the vinyl on the other side of the rivets un-squeegeed.
Roll over the film and rivets with the RollePro. Heat the rivet section of the vinyl if you need maximum flexibility.
Repeat the procedure. Squeegee up to the next row of rivets and roll.
